Open Door Worship - Sunday Night Vespers
Sunday evenings at 6:30 PM Westminster students and members of the community gather for a non-denominational worship service at Wallace Memorial Chapel with limited access, but available on Livestream. As the weather permits worship services will move to Anderson Amphitheatre for in person worship. These services include prayers, contemporary and traditional songs, music by individual students or student ensembles, and a message by Rev. Jim Mohr, College Chaplain or graduating seniors who share their faith journey and testimony. There are no services while Westminster College is not in session.
Saturday Night Roman Catholic Mass
Saturday evenings at 7:00 PM Westminster students and members of the community gather for Catholic Mass in Wallace Memorial Chapel with limited access, but the service is available on Livestream. Services will move to Anderson Amphitheatre as the weather permits for in person worship. Students are often called upon to assist with Mass. There are no services while Westminster College is not in session. Fr. Anthony Sciarappa of Holy Spirit Parish in New Castle, PA is the campus priest.
Chapel Worship - (POW!) - Prayers on Wednesdays
Westminster College Chapel Prayers On Wednesdays (POW) Reflections will be available online via the Faith At Westminster YouTube Channel. Each week Rev. Mohr, Westminster staff or student will share a brief time of reflection and prayer. Prayer requests can be made by contacting Rev. Mohr at mohrjr@westminster.edu. Open Door Prayer and Reflections
Wallace Memorial Chapel is available daily for personal quiet time of reflection, meditation and personal prayer. Please review the Use Calendar on the Chapel Doors as Choir and Recital Rehearsals and various classes use the Chapel through out the day. Due to COVID-19 regulations, you must wear a mask while in the Chapel, and practice social distancing if others are also in the space.
Interfaith Prayer Room – McKelvey Campus Center
The Interfaith Prayer Room is open daily during the open hours of the McKelvey Campus Center. This room is an inclusive and welcoming space for our students, staff and community, who are of diverse religious and non-religious backgrounds. This room is intended for prayer, contemplation, meditation, reflection, and practice, we ask users to follow the guidelines that are posted in the room. Due to COVID-19 regulations, you must wear a mask while in the Prayer Room, and no more than 3 persons in the space at one time.
