First Sunday evening of the month - Westminster students and members of the community gather for a non-denominational worship service in Wallace Memorial Chapel and is available on Livestream.  These services include prayers, contemporary and traditional songs, music by individual students or student ensembles, and a message by Rev. Jim Mohr, College Chaplain or graduating seniors who share their faith journey and testimony.  There are no services while Westminster College is not in session.  Check our Chapel/Vespers Speaker page for dates and details.

 

Roman Catholic Mass (Wallace Memorial Chapel)


Roman Catholic Mass is held at Holy Spirit Parish of Lawrence County (St. Camillus Church) on Sundays at 11:00 AM.  Transportation is provided for  Westminster students who need transportation.  Van shuttles depart on Sundays at 10:15 AM in front of Wallace Memorial Chapel.  If you desire a ride, please email the Office of Faith and Spirituality at chapel@westminster.edu by Friday at 3:00 PM prior to the Sunday you wish to attend, to reserve a spot on the van. There is no transportation while Westminster College is not in session.  

 

The Gathering:  Mid-Week Faith Journey (Cultural Center - McKelvey Campus Center)


A mid-week Gathering on Wednesdays from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM in the Cultural Center (McKelvey Campus Center)  Students will spend time enjoying food, fellowship, fun, music, conversation and devotional moments.   For more information email the Office of Faith and Spirituality at chapel@westminster.edu.

 

Open Door Prayer and Reflections


Wallace Memorial Chapel is available daily for personal quiet time of reflection, meditation and personal prayer. Please review the Use Calendar on the Chapel Doors as Choir and Recital Rehearsals and various classes use the Chapel through out the day.   

 

Interfaith Prayer Room – McKelvey Campus Center


 The Interfaith Prayer Room is open daily during the open hours of the McKelvey Campus Center.  This room is an inclusive and welcoming space for our students, staff and community, who are of diverse religious and non-religious backgrounds. This room is intended for prayer, contemplation, meditation, reflection, and practice, we ask users to follow the guidelines that are posted in the room.
