This content highlights the academic actions you will take at New Titan Day when you complete Westminster’s Academic Interest Form.

The Academic Interest form provides key information that will help us build your first semester schedule including:

1.Intended Pre-Professional Path (optional). 

2.Intended Major (required, may choose Exploratory).

4. Intellectual Perspectives (IP) Preferences

We are excited to work with you at New Titan Day and beyond to build your path for Academic Success!  Students who are unable to attend New Titan Day will be contacted after the in person events with more information about completing your Academic Interest Form.

  • 1.Intended Pre-Professional Path (optional).

    A Pre-Professional path allows you to indicate your intended post-graduation plans. There are several possible tracks both in the Pre-Health areas as well as outside of Medicine in the areas Pre-Law, Ministry, Music and Engineering. Pre-Professional tracks support advising and career plans, and most have flexibility in the majors that will prepare students for success.

  • 2.Intended Major (required, may choose Exploratory).

    All incoming students must select a specific Major, regardless of if they have indicated a pre-professional path.  This initial selections helps to guide selection of your coursework. Westminster College offers major programs leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Bachelor of Music. First-year students who are unsure of a major field may have an ex­ploratory major.

  • 3. Inquiry Preferences.

    The Inquiry 111 course introduces you to the study of the liberal arts, and applies the liberal arts perspective to specific social, moral and political issues. The All-College Honors Program contains alternative courses that fulfill First-Year Program requirements, including Inquiry 111.

  • 4. Intellectual Perspectives (IP) Preferences.

    The Westminster Plan ensures that graduates are familiar with a broad range of human intellectual endeavors and creativity. The requirements of this component  ofyour education are subject based and provide opportunity to explore significant areas of knowledge.
